Character Information
Name: Alan Humphries
Canon: Kuroshitsuji - The Most Beautiful Death In the World
Canon Point: Post Death - End of the musical
Age: Who even knows really with reapers? Appearance wise I'd go with - Early to Mid-Twenties
History: 1 & 2 (Two is much more in-depth to the events of the musical)
Personality: Alan is a hard worker, dedicated and diligent. He takes his job seriously and pushes himself to do it to best of his ability, at times pushing himself too far. He sees his illness as a weakness, a flaw that he must work all the harder for so that he can prove he isn't useless - even if it's only him that sees it this way. This still holds true even when Alan no longer has the Thorns robbing him of his very breath. He's kind and always ready with a smile for those he works with. While he doesn't often join in their fun and banter he does enjoy it, he's just a bit more reserved than that. He greatly respects and admires his seniors (though Grell at times confuses him) especially William (who he aspires to be more like) and Eric (who he has befriended from the moment Eric became his mentor and partner). As for Ronald, Alan considers the younger reaper to be like a son to him dotes on him greatly.

He is a compassionate and selfless person. Unlike the others Alan is seeks to share the pain of those he is to reap; becoming emotional and often questioning why he doesn't spare them or do anything to help ease or even delay for a moment the deaths of the humans he takes away from the living world. It bothers him that so many of them die alone and sad. There are times that this fact alone moves him to tears. Alan strives to understand and befriend the humans he reaps, especially the children. He has a soft spot for the little ones and does his best to see that they pass on peacefully with no fear - often playing games, singing songs even telling them stories. Abilities: Upon Alan's mortal death at his own hand and becoming a reaper (as punishment for not understanding the value of the life he was given) Alan became a grim reaper or death god. He and those like him are trained and tasked with reclaiming of souls upon the death; keeping them away from demons who would eat them - with a weapon known as a death scythe and judging them after viewing their cinematic records (lives) and either sending them to the final rest of death (Most likely outcome) or sparing them if they are believed to be of value, capable of improving and bettering mankind by their presence (so rare that I'm sure it's never happened in canon). Given the fact that they must face demons, Reapers have enhanced strength, speed, agility, remarkably fast healing abilities and reflexes. If there was such a thing as the perfect secretary Alan would be it. He makes any amazing cup of tea or coffee, is good at typing and taking notes is extremely professional; dedicated and a quick study when it comes to learning as he enjoys gaining knowledge.
Strengths: studious, hardworking, dedicated, loyal, compassionate, stupidly knowledgeable about flower language and herbs
Weaknesses: perfectionist, self-deprecating, spreads himself too thin, lets himself be taken advantage of, bad temper when pushed too far, practically blind without glasses, selfless to the point of it being very dangerous to his health (This is how he Dies a second time canonly)
God/Shinki: God
Why?: Well he's already a death god canonically speaking and since his death is a big part of who he is, his background, and a huge factor in his actions/behaviors (He's a literal blank slate without those memories)
Top 3 Choices: 1 2 & 3
God Type: Given Alan's personality, it's clear he will try to be a good and caring god almost to the point of being motherly. He would pay special attention to the prayers of/involving children as they have always been a soft spot for him.
Power: Vine Manipulation - Generally this would be used as a defense more than anything else. In such cases, black harsh and sturdy vines barbed with massive thorns would form a barrier between Alan (or whoever he's protecting and the threat. They're strongly tied to Alan so his health, mental, physical and emotional state would factor into their strength and duration. It's possible some of these vines could move and throw their thorn/barbs as projectiles. If how power were to be used in a non-combat situation it would more than likely be for a mundane unimportant task like reaching something he's too short to get to on his own.
(If Seshat is chosen that power will be exchanged for something more in line with her myth and purpose -like Literature Manipulation or Vocal Narration - Both would only be made possible by having a specific book in hand and at his disposal - like the previous power it would only contain spells for warding, barriers/shields and low-key protective magic. )

Castiel's Mun and I were talking and we would like for Castiel to be assigned to Alan as a Shinki.
His feelings of sympathy do not extent to demons or even himself. He hates himself for the illness that attacks his body and the weakness it makes him feel he has. He doesn't want special treatment or to burden anyone, often he will over-do it in his efforts to make himself seem perfectly capable and send himself into an attack. Any attempts to help or comfort him often send him into fits of anger because of his desire to be seen and treated just like everyone else rather than someone to be pitied and coddled.
Alan likes doing mundane things like cooking, especially baking - he finds it soothing and it pleases him to create something rather than destroy it. He also is fond of flowers, owning and raising them; again showing his love of giving and nurturing life rather than taking it away. He's fond of reading and adores nothing more than a good book and warm drink. He wants to distance himself from death in his personal life as much as he can.
